This Website, the USS JACCARD DE-355 MEMORIAL is dedicated to the Memory of Lt(jg) Richard A. Jaccard, USNR, who gave his life in the Battle of Guadacanal, South Pacific, September 1942.
The Ship named in his honor is no more, but the memory lives on. This Website was created so that this memory of both MAN, SHIP and CREW will go on, so that the sacrifices of those who gave their all shall never be forgotten.
